GIFT GUIDE:

SH-IAM-HolidayGuide-HeaderText

The holidays are exhilarating, and time seems to quicken. We see the faces of family and friends, sometimes for the first time in a year. Everything glitters. Our kitchens, our secret gift stashes, our holiday playlists, and our calendars swell to bursting.

Savoring this season is an art. It’s easy to land in January overstimulated and threadbare.

Our favorite things can lift our perspective. A handcrafted blanket can awaken our senses and slow time to a crawl. Hurried storytime at the end of a busy week full of shopping and baking and holiday parties becomes a moment— we make a memory.

The same goes for a favorite fragrance, the aroma of the shampoo the kids love best at bath time, and the only shirt you’d reach for when it’s time for holiday travel—whether you’re going over the river, through the woods, or a plane ride away.

Beauty in our homes and the objects we keep in the spaces where we start and end our days is more than just a pretty background. It’s a cue for our most precious moments, our best and most present selves—especially during the holidays. Rather than overwhelm, we feel openness, curiosity, and anticipation.

The stage is set. It’s hard not to smile, just writing that.

Here’s to giving—and receiving—the gift of presence and your full self this season.
