We believe pillows can transform a house into a home. They add color, texture, volume, and softness to a space, and they’re also ready at a moment’s notice to prop you up for a movie night or for the next chapter of that book you just can’t put down.
By simply swapping color palettes, styles, and textures, pillows make it easy to change the environment of an entire room in a snap, whether it’s to mark a change of the seasons or simply because the mood strikes. We’re proud to offer a new collection of finished pillows, offered in S. Harris favorites, to bring that crowning moment to your latest passion project.
OUR PILLOWS ARE AVAILABLE IN FOUR SIZES:
14" x 20"
20" x 20"
22" x 22"
24" x 24"
We crafted these pillows for crisp edges and sharp corners, and even added a hidden zipper closure for a clean, polished look.
Choose just the pillow covering, or add one of our plush, feather/down inserts. No matter your choice, we will make your pillows to-order and ship them to your door. Whether you’re working on a bedroom, putting the finishing touches on a living area, or re-envisioning a hallway bench, these are our favorite ways to work with pillows—along with how to get each look.
CALL ON COLOR
Pillows are an essential for color lovers. The key to a cohesive look is to thoughtfully select and stick to a palette. Our rule of thumb is to use one color as an anchor and then build your collection of 3-5 additional pillows around it. A pillow assortment is an opportunity to acknowledge and tie in other elements of your space—the wall color, the rug or flooring, and colors of other upholstered pieces in the room.
A NOTE ABOUT NEUTRALS:
Elemental hues from the brightest white to the deepest black can ground an ambitious color scheme. Neutrals can also work to accentuate texture, size, or other components of a space.
PATTERN PLAY
Mixing patterns using pillows can create depth and interest. To achieve a look that feels collected rather than chaotic, it helps to keep a few key principles in mind.
First, select patterns within your color palette. Next, vary the scale of the patterns, mixing large and small. They should compliment each other, not compete.
Create a polished, traditional look by bookending a sofa or entryway bench with pillows of the same design. Take the edge off of a space that feels over-styled by mixing and matching patterns, creating a look that feels playful and dynamic.
TEXTURE TALKS
Texture is another tool in our toolbox for the perfect pillow curation. We love the look of a pile of pillows in a neutral palette of colors and patterns, with the texture ranging from breezy linens, and curly bouclés to chunky knits, and touchable embroideries. Take it to the next level by adding braided or beaded trims.
DOWN TO SIZE
Choosing pillows of varying sizes helps keep a look layered and inviting. Placed just so, pillows of different sizes can be used to gently guide the eye through a space and add depth and volume, especially for living room seating and bedrooms.
PERFECT PLACEMENT
Once your pillow collection is complete, it’s time to decide how to display them in the space. Try casual, asymmetrical arrangements for an effortless look, or stick with symmetry to keep the feel more formal and polished.
