Are you as excited as us to tour the highly anticipated virtual concept house conceived by the members of the Black Artists + Designers Guild? Quite literally virtual in every sense of the word, the 3D-rendered visualization is steeped in storytelling and deliberate messaging. Aptly staged in Oakland, California—where the Black Panther Party was first formed—the futuristic home is ripe with cultural anecdotes along with cutting-edge design features and equally innovative technologies. Amplifying with an artful cadence the stories of Black families and modern living situations, the house is a visual representation of art and design uniting with roots and ancestry. As a brand, S. Harris is proud to sponsor this groundbreaking experience and we invite you to journey along with us as we take in these design inroads together.
Curious how to get yourself on the guest list? Hurry over to www.badguild.info and RSVP for the virtual launch party! If you can’t make the virtual party, there’s still plenty of time for you to browse through this one-of-a-kind project on the Black Artists + Designers Guild’s website!
As the Chief Brand Officer of Fabricut’s boutique textile brand S. Harris, Jodi Finer approaches her creative position with a deep connection to her grandfather’s legacy, her relationship with her father, who has always been her north star, and a level of mindfulness to thoughtful living. Jodi and her team have turned S. Harris into a socially conscious brand, working with several nonprofit partners locally and globally to not only reshape the conversation around how design impacts wellbeing but also to create design accessibility. S. Harris provides her the opportunity to reinvent community, build a fresh creative culture and create meaning for the storied fabric house.
